The eighteenth edition of the ITMA exhibition opened in Barcelona on June 20, running until June 26, with the organisers celebrating a record number of exhibitors, 1,717 from a total of 45 countries.

Of these, the largest number were from Italy (364 exhibitors), China (276 exhibitors), Germany (222 exhibitors), India (169 exhibitors) and Turkey (164 exhibitors).
 
In terms of the sectors represented at ITMA 2019, finishing technology had 325 exhibitors, spinning  281, weaving182 exhibitors, printing 157 and knitting 136.

Nonwovens, technical textiles, fibres, yarns and fabrics also featured at the event.
