Hopes high for good Brazilian cotton crop

Cotton industry information resource Cotlook has reported high levels of confidence that the Brazilian cotton harvest will be good.

In its most recent industry update, Cotlook said that the Brazilian harvest started in June. It said hopes were high of “a quantum leap” in the volume of lint that farmers would be able to collect.

In the previous season, Brazil’s output was 2 million tonnes; hope is that this season the figure will increase to 2.7 million tonnes.
