Carbon mapping placed at specific points throughout the racket frame is one of the innovations that have gone into a new version of the Wilson Blade tennis racket.

Parent group, Amer Sports, said the development team at Wilson had used the proprietary carbon mapping technology, which it calls FeelFlex to give players greater flexibility.

It said the new racket delivers 20% more horizontal flexibility for greater control, 12% more vertical flexibility for increased spin and 11.4% more stability for greater power.

Amer said the racket is designed “for today’s big hitters” and their “aggressive, attacking style of play”.
