Arc’teryx ready to cater to Japanese tastes
Outdoor brand Arc’teryx has opened a new store in Sapporo, the capital of Japan’s Hokkaido prefecture.

With a total of 425 square-metres of floor space, the new store is the brand’s largest in Japan.

The commercial manager for Arc’teryx for parent group Amer Sports in Japan, Ken Takagi, explained at the time of the opening that the Japanese market has particular requirements. Japanese consumers, he said, are extensive users of outdoor products in urban environments. “For example, our 24 line urban backpacks are in very high demand here,” he insisted.
