Solvay to sell performance polyamides business

Materials and chemicals group Solvay has agreed to sell its performance polyamides business in Europe to DOMO Chemicals, a supplier of chemicals and polymers based in Germany.

The deal encompasses Solvay’s engineering plastics operations in France and Poland, its high performance fibres division in France, and its polymer and intermediates operations in France, Spain and Poland.

DOMO has said it will pay €300 million for these parts of Solvay’s business and that it expects to complete the deal in the fourth quarter of 2019.
