Bluesign stakeholders asked to take part in revision exercise

Bluesign is holding a consultation exercise with stakeholders to discuss possible revisions of the organisation’s system. The Bluesign system aims to help textile manufacturers eliminate harmful substances from the start of the manufacturing process and set and control standards for environmentally friendly and safe production.

Proposed revisions comprise language refinements for better understanding, specific changes in content, and the development of new criteria to make the system better aligned with the textile industry.

It has published draft revisions on its website and has asked stakeholders to give comments before September 12.
