Egyptian modernisation programme on track, Rieter says

Textile machinery manufacturer Rieter has said it is moving forward with a number of projects in Egypt.

At the ITMA exhibition in Barcelona in June, Rieter received firm expressions of interest from Egyptian companies in technology such as its compact and ring spinning systems. The Swiss technology provider said it viewed this as part of “a comprehensive modernisation programme” for the Egyptian textile industry.

At the start of October, Rieter said it had received down payments on six of the new projects and that work would take place to install the new machinery in 2020 and 2021.
