Oboz programme hits milestone

The achievement will reportedly help reforest over 1.8k acres of land and sequester over 111k tonnes of carbon.
Company president, Amy Beck, said: “Planting three million trees is a great milestone, but the broader effect these plantings have on our environment and the people in those areas is even greater.”
Most of the trees are planted in grass-root projects throughout five countries in sub-Saharan Africa, helping in numerous ways such as protecting soils and providing livelihoods for hillside communities in the form of fruit, livestock feed and natural fertilisers.
Trees for the Future’s executive director, John Leary, said: “The support we’ve received from Oboz over the last 12 years can’t be measured in trees alone.
“They have been influential in helping farmers completely transform their lands and their livelihoods, and their One More Tree program has helped raise awareness of our mission with their customers and brand loyalists. We can’t thank Oboz enough for their ongoing support and belief in our work and the farmers we serve.”
