Tanatex launches bio-based & biodegradable micro-encapsulating technology

The range is made using microcapsules built from natural sugars and proteins and includes products that reportedly deliver improved skin conditions and slimming effects.
The microcapsules not only have a different wall composition but also gradually release the active ingredients, triggered through enzymatic breakdown – rather than the traditional release mechanism whereby mechanical pressure is followed by bursting.
One of the first products in the new range is Tana Care Bio-Slim, producing a slimming effect by using a blend of cosmetic ingredients that work on the fat and activate micro-circulation, as well as reportedly enhancing skin elasticity, resilience and tightness.
The wash durability of the technology is claimed to be around 20 home launderings, and scientific testing has allegedly shown significant improvement after 15 and 30 days’ wearing a treated product.
