Outdoor brand Mountain Hardwear has named Danny Harkin as the director of its business in Europe. He will be based at its European headquarters in Geneva.

Mr Harkin was previously product director at The North Face. In a career spanning 30 years he has held leadership positions on product development in the UK, Italy and the US.

Mountain Hardwear president, Joe Vernachio, said on making the announcement that Danny Harkin would give the company “a new dimension” and a clear direction for its European business model.
