The Mumbai-based Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) has launched what the organisation is calling “its best quality cotton” under the brand name HIRA.

HIRA stands for High in Reliable Attributes and, according to CCI, will be “of highest quality” and contaminant controlled. Features will include minimal trash (below 1.7 %), low moisture (below 8%), graded Rd 78 plus, optimal mic (3.8-4.2) and strength of 29 g/tex plus).

“HIRA cotton will assure the buyers of the benefits of better quality raw material, equivalent to quality standards of international cotton,” the group said in a press release.
