Salomon temporarily closing European stores

French sports equipment manufacturing company Salomon has announced that, for the health of its employees and customers, the brand is temporarily closing most of its stores in Europe and many others around the world.

“For those of us who love the outdoors, being stuck indoors is never easy,” the company said in a statement. “Unfortunately, given the evolving health crisis in many of the communities we serve around the world, making our last ski turns of the season or joining friends for a run will have to wait. These are small sacrifices to make for the overall health of our communities, and we encourage everyone to do their part. It’s never been so easy to help your neighbor.”
