TNF releases another capsule for the streets instead of mountains

The North Face has released another collection that focuses less on the technical performance apparel on which the label has built its name and more on technical-themed streetwear.

This latest capsule collection, called Retro Climb, was inspired by 1980s’ Californian climbing culture.

“The eighties climbing scene was bright, tight and rule breaking,” said the company of the collection. “With this drop we’re bringing back those same silhouettes, colour palettes and fabrics – reinterpreted for the streets.”

Some pieces do utilise TNF technology; the Headpoint anorak (pictured), for example, is wind-proof and water-repellent. Other pieces in the collection, however, include a casual cotton tank top and t-shirt.
