Former Burberry and Jimmy Choo designer launches vegan line of women’s shoes

Alfredo Piferi, formerly a designer with such names as Jimmy Choo and Burberry, has launched a namesake vegan line of women’s shoes. 

The new line was announced on Instagram, with a photo of the Soquette (pictured), described as fully detachable and made from recycled nylon and lurex.

The designer has also used his social media account to introduce the Ursula asymmetric pump, made from “Bio Veg nappa”, a material comprising 68% bio components. “The base of the material is a non-woven recycled polyester and the top coating made from corn oil polyol from non-food cultivations,” Mr Piferi wrote, adding: “Keep it sexy, keep it clean!”
