Première Vision: September show will go on and other updates

04/05/2020
Fabric trade show Première Vision has announced a series of measures intended to accomodate the needs and capabilities of the fashion industry during the current crisis.

This includes a confirmation that they will hold the Première Vision Paris show next September.

“We have decided to assume 100% of the risks of cancellation of the show, should holding it be banned by the authorities,” said Gilles Lasbordes, general manager of Première Vision. “Our teams are currently fully committed and mobilized with the industry to face the new challenges that lie ahead.”

He added that they’ve pushed back the registration process for the event as late as possible and have relaxed conditions for registration.

Show calendars for Made in France Première Vision, Denim Première Vision, Blossom Première Vision, Première Vision New York and Première Vision Sport will undergo some modifications “to ensure their smooth operation given relevant health constraints”.

For the marketplace, registration conditions will be eased somewhat and visitors will be given free access, as organisers will be simplifying and lifting charges for digital services. There will also be accelerated digitisation of show services and content, including products, seasonal fashion information, webinars and more.

“We, along with fashion manufacturers and brands, fully share a desire to work together in emerging from this crisis, which is having such a severe impact on the industry,” said Mr Lasbordes. “We have explored every possible option to provide tangible support to the market.”

He added that companies must come together again to help re-launch businesses that may have been dramatically weakened, while staying in compliance with health precautions.

“We very quickly took the decision to provide an online digital version of the fashion information prepared for our exhibitors, to ensure our on-going creative support. Looking ahead to September, we will be taking even further steps.”

In mid-March, Première Vision made it free for exhibitors to showcase an unlimited number of their products on the marketplace, to help them remain in contact with their clients, provide samples and fulfil orders.
