Badger Sport performance activity masks generating donations to first responders
Founder Sport Group has said it is donating net proceeds from sales of Badger performance activity masks to the All Clear Foundation, a non-profit organisation that supports first responders.
The masks are not a replacement for medical-grade protection, but rather they are designed to provide an additional barrier to the outside environment. Each is made with performance micro-polyester and spandex fabrics for a snug fit around the nose and mouth. Thus far the masks have generated more than $14,000 in net proceeds.
Founder Sport, whose brands include Badger Sport, Alleson Athletic, Garb Athletics and ProSphere, had already converted part of its manufacturing facilities to help fight the spread of COVID-19. The group’s cutting and sewing capabilities in North Carolina and Nicaragua have been producing the performance activity masks.
"With the CDC now recommending that everyone wear masks to help slow the spread of COVID-19,” said John Anton, founder and CEO of Sport Group, “we are actively ramping up production volume as every sale triggers a donation to the foundation."
