03/03/2020
The office in Hilversum was being disinfected, according to the report, and the employee was staying home in isolation for 14 days. Approximately 2,000 Nike employees from 80 countries work at the Amsterdam site.
In the US, local media reported that Nike was temporarily closing its corporate headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, to deep clean the campus. The decision followed the first US death from COVID-19.
The company has no known information regarding the virus to Nike employees, a Nike spokesperson told local media, but the company was conducting a deep cleaning out of “an abundance of caution”. All world headquarters buildings and facilities, including fitness centers, would be closed for the cleaning.
