Key appointment for Under Armour
Under Armour has appointed Mohamed A. El-Erian to lead independent director of the company's board of directors. Mr El-Erian succeeds A.B. Krongard, who has served in the lead director role since 2006.
Executive chairman and brand chief Kevin Plank described the appointment as being part of the company’s strategic transformation. Since joining Under Armour's board in 2018, Mr El-Erian has served on the finance and capital planning committee and the audit committee.
Douglas Coltharp will replace Mr Krongard as chair of the audit committee while continuing his role as chair of the finance and capital planning committee.
Eric Olson, who had been a board member since 2012, will remain chair of the corporate governance committee.
Harvey Sanders, a board member since 2004, will remain chair of the compensation committee.
