Paddle apparel brand announces plans for expansion

“By growing our space and team here in Arcata, we will be able to better support the growth we’ve seen in both our outdoor sports and government business sectors,” said Jeff Turner, director of sales.
The expansion includes 7,500 square feet of additional production space and 3,000 more square feet of warehouse and shipping, increasing the overall footprint by 40%. Here, the brand produces pieces like its popular Gore-Tex Meridian, a $1270 whitewater and sea kayaking dry suit (pictured).
Mr Turner added that maintaining domestic manufacturing and keeping production local was integral to the brand’s original aims of quality control and continual innovation. “More than 90 percent of our annual revenues are generated by the garments we make here in Arcata,” he said. “Our commitment to domestic manufacturing is vital to our continued growth.”
