Recycled backpack line made from cuts of previously-used bags
Eastpak USA is launching a line of bags made from scraps and parts of bags that have been deemed beyond repair. The line, “Re-built to Resist” is described as “re-cycled, re-purposed, re-built”.
Customers can send used Eastpak bags at the company’s warranty center, and if bags can’t be repaired, workers will hand-pick the parts that can be reused.
“They are deconstructed, cleaned and cut, then re-built into a one-of-a-kind design,” the company said in a video outlining the process, “reducing waste and preserving style.”
