Puma stores reopening and staff returning to work
Puma’s company magazine has said an increasing number of Puma stores have reopened, including ones in Turkey, Ukraine, Russia and India. All stores, the company said, are following health and safety protocols such as controlled entrance, mask requirements and product sanitising.
More than half of the brand’s stores in Turkey have reopened and the rest are expected to fully open in early June. In Ukraine, 13 regional stores have already reopened and the rest are planned to open any day.
Puma Ukraine is said to be providing face masks, gloves, hand sanitisers and glasses. Stores there have restricted store capacity to follow social distancing guidelines and employees’ temperatures will be taken at the beginning of each shift. Similar measures are being taken in India, where 100 out of 370 Puma stores are open.
In Russia, only one store has reopened with, as the company said, “more to come”.
Feedback from customers has been positive, the company said. “They are happy with having this safe and pleasant customer experience in our stores as a safe shopping environment has now become an essential part of great service,” said Kim Altyshev, senior team head of retail operations for Puma.
