Arc’teryx aims for urban/outdoors crossover

Making use of the same Gore cKnit backer technology found in the brand’s outdoor hardshells, Canadian outerwear brand Arc’teryx is aiming to “bring the street to the mountain” with its Venda Anorak.

Photos in the anorak’s marketing campaign feature images from both the city and remote outdoor locations, the brand’s aim to make the technical waterproof piece into a more comfortable, “style-conscious” piece.

Design director Edita Hadravska said she chose “buttery soft” 30D cKnit fabric so that the anorak wears like a “lightweight hoody”, while also protecting from the elements.
