Winnie Ma new president for VF Corp Greater China
Winnie Ma has been appointed to the role of president, Greater China, for VF Corp. There she will be responsible for elevating the group’s brands in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and growing VF’s business in China.
The appointment comes after a 10-year career at Unilever, North Asia, where Ms Ma most recently led the beauty and personal care business. Ms Ma (pictured), who will be based in Shanghai, holds an MBA from China Europe International Business School.
“The Asia-Pacific region, and China specifically, present tremendous growth opportunities for VF and our brands,” said Kevin Bailey, executive vice president and group president, APAC and emerging brands. “Appointing a seasoned leader like Winnie with deep experience in China and understanding of the Chinese consumer will help us accelerate our growth strategy in this fast-paced, digitally-driven marketplace.”
He said Ms Ma’s experience in consumer behaviour, digital transformation and brand building with blue-chip multinational companies makes her “an ideal leader” for VF’s China business.
