Rugby player Phaidra Knight launches activewear line
Phaidra Knight, an American former rugby union footballer, has partnered with brand developer The Powell Companies Real on the creation of a functional, size-inclusive activewear line.
The PSK Collective, according to the new label, is intended to bring “recognition, equity and unity to women's sports, fashion and lifestyles”. The brand’s focus on inclusive and affordable athleisure that caters to females with athletic bodies stems from Mrs. Knight’s own experience with having to rely on custom clothing to fit her build.
Collections include activewear such as sports bras, biking shorts and leggings, along with other streetwear, accessories, outerwear and PPE products. Prices range from $39 to $129, with size options said cater to a variety of body types.
The brand also said it will have a large focus on social justice issues and is in partnership with the Women's Sports Foundation (WSF), a sport- and equity-based nonprofit organisation. Mrs Knight, who is a World Rugby Hall of Fame inductee, has said PSK will be donating 15% of its net profits to WSF's efforts.
