Intellectual property win for Rieter in China
Swiss textile machinery manufacturer Rieter has won a court case in China over intellectual property infringement.
Rieter’s complaint, against Shenyang Hongda Textile Machinery Company, dates back to 2018. The Swiss company said Shenyang Hongda had double-head draw frames in its JWF1316 and JWF1316T models that were similar to Rieter technology and fell within the scope of protection of design patents that Rieter had taken out.
The Shanghai Intellectual Property Court has now found in favour of Rieter and has ordered Shenyang Hongda to compensate Rieter for financial losses and expenses.
