“Back to business” with Fabric Days live Munich event
Organisers of Fabric Days said the industry is getting “back to business”, with the event to be held September 1st through 3rd at MOC Munich. The condensed version of the fabrics and accessories trade fair will include exhibitors, networking, a trend forum and more.
Under the seasonal title, “Hopetimism” for Autumn/Winter 21/22, the event expects to have around 300 European suppliers presenting portfolios of around 700 collections. They will fall under the categories of fabrics, additionals, denim and sportswear, innovations, design studios and sourcing.
Most participating exhibitors are also long-time partners of Munich Fabric Start. Newcomers will include Vialaton Martin & Fils in fabrics, Bartateks Tekstil in denim, Smartfiber AG in Innovations and Le Studio Copenhagen in the design studios area.
In the Sustainable Innovations forum, the Munich Fabric Start team are “pursuing the goal of holistic sustainability”. Curator Simon Angel will show four projects involving the use of traditional crafts and materials in new ways.
Organisers also said that Pauline van Dongen, Studio Mend, Iris Bekkers and Youyang Song will “bring new life into classic techniques such as weaving, repairing and recycling with their developments”.
