Six months after releasing the training version of its carbon running shoe, New Balance has announced the racing companion — the FuelCell RC Elite.

The shoe has a full-length carbon fibre plate designed to offer extra propulsion on race day, and it has a “featherlight” Dynaride outsole. The idea behind the pair is that runners can train in the FuelCell TC, then obtain faster speed in races with the RC with its lighter weight and improved energy return.

This newest release to the carbon family is said to improve upon the FuelCell 5280 mile shoe released in 2019.
