Fibre manufacturer Hyosung and athletic leisure brand Andar have teamed up on a line of face masks said to be waterproof, antimicrobial and devoid of bad odours.

The washable masks use Hyosung fabrics including spandex Creora Fresh odourless (which has neutralising ammonia substances) and polyester Aerosilver with silver ion.

Hyosung president Kim Yong-seop said the company was “listening to customers’ voices” and that the masks showed the company’s flexible response to changes in the market.
