Supermarket giant agrees to set up Decathlon shop-in-shop

Sports group Decathlon has formally opened its first shop-in-shop in a store run by supermarket group Auchan.

Auchan and Decathlon took the decision to do this after carrying out trials of the idea in five supermarkets in April. The first shop-in-shop is an Auchan store in Saint-Jean de la Ruelle, near Orléans.

Decathlon said setting up this space, which takes up 360 square-metres inside the Auchan supermarket, was an attempt on its part to go out and try to meet potential customers where they are.
