Skiing apparel brand Goldwin has opened its first store in Europe, a shop in the centre of Munich.

The Munich store opened its doors on October 16, with the Japanese company saying it had picked the location because of local people’s enthusiasm for skiing and for the outdoors.

It also said it had identified Munich as an important gateway for skiers to the Alps, not just in Bavaria, but across the border into Austria too.
