Textile chemicals developer Archroma has earned a number-one ranking in the industrial chemicals list published by the Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs (IPE).

Beijing-based IPE has also placed Archroma in the top 50 for its Green Supply Chain evaluation, which assesses brands for the environmental management of their supply chains in China.

Chief executive, Heike van de Kerkhof, commented that working with the institute had encouraged Archroma to look beyond its own policies and processes and also challenge its suppliers to help it reduce environmental impact.

A fellow of the IPE, Dr Linda Greer, said Archroma had shown leadership in sustainability that was “rare to see in the chemicals sector”.
