Rieter appoints new head of sales

Short-staple fibre spinning machinery provider Rieter has announced Christian Straubhaar as its new senior vice-president for sales.

He will start work at the Swiss company at the start of January, taking over from Reto Thom, who will retire.

Mr Straubhaar will join Rieter from Italian weaving technology provider Itema, where he has worked for the last 20 years.
