ITMA Asia + CITME organisers gear up for ‘mega-showcase’
The organisers of the ITMA Asia + CITME exhibition have thanked international textile machinery manufacturers for the backing they have shown so far for the seventh edition of the event. Owners, CEMATEX (the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers) and its Chinese partners said they has received “firm support” from exhibitors.
This next edition of ITMA Asia + CITME is scheduled to take place in Shanghai from June 12-16.
Preparations are going ahead as scheduled, the organisers said. They expect 1,650 exhibitors to take part, down only slightly from the sixth edition in 2018, when there were 1,733 exhibitors.
On that occasion, more than 100,000 visitors from 116 countries attended the event.
Major exhibitors allocated space already include: CHTC, Danis Makina, Electro-Jet, Eton Systems, Fong’s, Groz-Beckert, Itema, Jeanologia, Karl Mayer, MS Printing Solutions, Muratec, Truetzschler Group, Oerlikon Barmag, Picanol, Reggiani Macchine, Rieter, SDC Enterprises, Santoni, Saurer, Savio, Shima Seiki, Staubli, Toyota, Tsudakoma, Vandewiele and Vanwyk.
On releasing these details, CEMAT president, Ernesto Maurer, commented: “The pandemic might have disrupted the world but exhibitors are eager to resume their marketing efforts. Therefore, the show has not suffered a significant change in support. While there have been some concerns about international business travel from some quarters, the combined show is still gearing up [to be] a mega showcase.”
