Canadian outdoor brand Arc’teryx has appointed Stuart Haselden as its chief executive officer. He takes up the role with immediate effect.

He brings two decades of experience in senior roles at clothing companies Lululemon, J.Crew and Saks. Most recently, he was chief executive of lifestyle brand Away.

He described Arc’teryx as “an inspiring brand that represents the pinnacle of design innovation”. He replaces Jon Hoerauf, who was brand president; the role of chief executive at Arc’teryx is new.

Chief executive of parent group Amer Sports, James Zheng, said the reason for making the appointment was that Arc’teryx was entering a new phase of growth.
