Australian Cotton Conference postponed
The 2021 Australian Cotton Conference has been postponed. The event will next take place in August 2022.
Organisers Cotton Australia and the Australian Cotton Shippers Association said their boards have agreed to postpone the conference because of “significant financial risk exposure” to both organisations and because of uncertainty about the type of event that they could host with restrictions imposed by the covid-19 pandemic, including border closures and social distancing.
“This was a very difficult decision and it’s made us realise just how important and valuable the Cotton Conference is to our industry,” they said.
They added that there may be the possibility of hosting smaller, regional events this year to allow people from across the cotton supply chain some opportunity to meet up.
