Renewed optimism at Foot Locker

Specialty athletic footwear retail group Foot Locker has reported full-year revenues for 2020 of $7.5 billion, down by 5.7% compared to the previous year.

Chief executive, Richard Johnson, said the group’s performance had been strong in the fourth quarter of its 2020 fiscal year, the period ending January 31, 2021. He said that, “despite the challenging backdrop of covid-19 related store closures and supply chain congestion”, customers had responded well.

He said that, based on the resilience Foot Locker had shown over the course of 2020, he was “looking forward with renewed optimism”.
