Demand for Champion helps HanesBrands achieve growth

Apparel group HanesBrands has reported revenues of just over $1.5 billion for the first quarter of 2021. This is an increase of 25% compared to the same quarter a year ago.

It said its activewear business had delivered double-digit growth, with its Champion brand, in particular, enjoying “rapid growth and strong consumer demand”. 

Champion sales increased by 34% compared to the same quarter in 2020, while revenue from the company’s other activewear brands increased by 16%.
