India project will help Indorama expand supply to the textile industry
Fibres group Indorama has announced an investment of more than $80 million to expand capacity at its manufacturing site in Nagpur in India.
The plan includes a new PET resin manufacturing facility and the technology necessary to produce what it has referred to as a large range of specialty yarns.
Indorama expects the new PET resin manufacturing plant to be operational in the second quarter of 2022.
It said this new investment will help it meet “global brands’ increasing demand for more high-quality and sustainable textile products”.
