Sports group Puma has unveiled a new football called Accelerate, which will be the official ball for Spain’s top league competition in season 2021-2022.

Puma said it had designed a ball with a traditional white base but with “explosive red, yellow and orange tones to encapsulate the energy of fire”. It said the design would offer optimal visibility on the pitch.

Its construction consists of eight polyurethane panels, enhanced with polyolefin elastomer foam “to increase touch sensitivity, provide a firmer feel and better bounce consistency”.
