Partners combine on mask project
With face-coverings certain to continue as part of the required dress-code for a huge variety of occasions for the foreseeable future, three partners have worked together on a project they have called Easy Mask.
Indorama Ventures’s recycled polyester brand Deja, dyeing technology provider DyeCoo and knitting-machinery developer Stoll are the three partners involved in the project.
Deja’s polyester yarn is made from 100% post-consumer recycled PET bottles. The yarn used in this project has been dyed using supercritical carbon dioxide textile dyeing technology from DyeCoo.
Using this dyed yarn, the Easy Mask is then knitted on the Stoll CMS 530 HP B E 7.2 machine. This production method eliminates cut-and-sew and reduces waste material.
