Canadian outdoor brand Arc’teryx has opened a new store in Manhattan, its fourth in New York and its twenty-first in the US.

This latest store, however, which is on Columbus Avenue on the Upper West Side, marks the launch of a newly rebranded micro-store concept that the company is calling Arc’type. The focus in Arc’type stores will be the brand’s most renowned designs. “The products available at these stores truly represent who we are,” chief commercial officer, Delaney Schweitzer, explained. “The designs are perfect archetypes of the brand.”

The Arc’type assortment includes the brand’s first jacket, the Alpha SV, designed more than 20 years ago. Its first women’s parka, the Patera Parka, which has sold out every season since it was introduced in 2012, will also be available.
