Strong first-half growth for Foot Locker

Specialist athletic footwear retail group Foot Locker has reported revenues of more than $4.4 billion for the first six months of its current financial year, the period ending July 31, 2021.

This figure represents an increase of 36.1% compared to the first half of the previous business year.

Chief executive, Richard Johnson, said Foot Locker’s strong performance was the result of “the health of our category, the deep engagement we have with our customers, and the strategic nature of our relationships with our vendor partners”.

The company ended the period with a store count of 2,911, down by 87 compared to the start of this year.
