Lenzing’s CEO is leaving
Fibre manufacturing group Lenzing has announced that its chief executive, Dr Stefan Doboczky, is to leave the role.
His current contract ends on September 30 and the Austria-based company announced on September 7 that Dr Doboczky had informed its supervisory board that he would not be extending it. Lenzing said it had accepted his resignation “with great regret” and announced that it would begin its search for a new chief executive immediately.
Stefan Doboczky (pictured) became the chief executive of Lenzing in June 2015, succeeding Peter Untersperger. This followed a 17-year career at material science group Royal DSM.
Lenzing chairman, Peter Edelmann, said Dr Doboczky’s leadership meant the company was “on a stable and profitable growth track with a clear commitment to become climate-neutral by 2050” in spite of the covid-19 pandemic.
