Passion for tennis brings Fila and Christopher Bevans together
Former Nike designer Christopher Bevans, who has also worked with adidas, Under Armour, Pharrell Williams, has worked as guest designer on an inaugural project with Fila and will continue the partnership throughout 2022.
A special edition of the Fila Renno tennis shoe is the product that the partners have focused on to start with. An avid tennis fan and player, Mr Bevans said his love of the game had been his inspiration.
The shoe uses a mix of materials throughout, including recycled leather, suede, nylon and ripstop mesh. It is constructed with a padded tongue and collar and Fila’s proprietary midsole cushioning system, Energized.
Colour-wise, it combines the blue of the surfaces of many hard courts around the world and the green of tennis balls.
“With Fila’s tennis heritage, I am grateful for this opportunity,” Christopher Bevans said. “I know we share a passion for tennis; that is what drew me to this partnership and this Fila Renno design.”
