The International Cotton Association (ICA) has marked the tenth anniversary of the opening of its international centre of excellence for cotton testing, research, quality training and certification in Bremen. ICA Bremen opened on October 4, 2011.

In the ten years since, ICA said, the centre in Bremen has grown “a loyal customer base” for its laboratory testing services. It has delivered multiple training courses and certified 11 cotton-testing laboratories.

ICA Bremen combines the global reach of the ICA with a high level of quality expertise that Bremen’s cotton exchange, the Bremer Baumwollboerse, and the Bremen Fibre Institute (FIBRE) had built up to position itself as a centre of excellence.
