TreeToTextile hires top team to upscale

13/10/2021
TreeToTextile, owned by H&M Group, Inter IKEA Group, Stora Enso and LSCS Invest, has appointed Marie Grönborg as CEO to oversee the construction of a demonstration plant for its newly developed biobased textile fibres.

TreeToTextile’s main differentiator is its technology, which is able to produce biobased textile fibres with a low environmental footprint at an attractive cost level, the company said. The Stora Enso’s Nymölla mill in southern Sweden will be used to upscale the process.

TreeToTextile is also adding to its management team: Henric Höglind (plant manager), Johan Larsson (head of production), Hanna Svensson (development manager), and Jonas Engström (head of technology).

Marie Grönborg said: “I am very excited and proud about the opportunity to join TreeToTextile, and genuinely look forward to leading a highly capable, competent and passionate team that will bring new technology to the market and accelerate the transformation of the textile industry."
