Single-layer benefits on show in Ternua jackets

Basque outdoor brand Ternua has said its new winter collection includes its most technical trekking jackets ever.

These garments use its proprietary Storm Fleece Pro technology for breathability, wind resistance and water resistance.

Ternua introduced this woven textile technology several seasons ago. It has a single layer but combines the properties of softshell and fleece, blocking wind and moisture without the need of a laminate, according to the company, thanks to the high density of the surface.

Other benefits include strong binding of the fibres in the single-layer construction, which Ternua claims will reduce garments’ propensity for shedding micro-fibres. This construction also requires less dyeing and is lighter and less bulky, it has said.

Jackets in the collection that offer these qualities include the Lekka, Krikka and Edvana versions for women and the corresponding Lekko, Krikko and Edvan garments for men.
