Spinning technology developer Rieter has reported orders for the first nine months of this year with a total value of almost 1.7 billion Swiss francs, equal to around €1.6 billion.

Compared to the same period in 2020, this represents an increase of almost 300%.
It said orders had come primarily from Turkey, Latin America, India, Pakistan and China.

Rieter said it had not included incoming orders from its acquisition of three businesses from Dutch group Saurer in this trading update. But it said this acquisition, which it announced in August, was “proceeding according to plan”.
