Tokyo-based fibre and performance materials developer Teijin has said it is pleased to have become the first corporation from East Asia to join sustainable clothing initiative Fashion For Good.

The programme welcomed Teijin as a new brand partner on announcing its new Full Circle Textiles Project – Polyester.

Specifically, Teijin will contribute to the project, which seeks to help scale up ideas for the chemical recycling of polyester, by evaluating the quality of pellets from textile waste. It aims, also use its technology and expertise to create more efficient fibre-to-fibre recycling mechanisms.
