New Teijin CEO will take up role in April

High-performance materials developer Teijin has announced that chief executive, Jun Suzuki, will leave the role on April 1. He will assume the role of chairman of the group.

The new chief executive of Teijin will be Akimoto Uchikawa, who is currently president of the group’s materials business.

Mr Uchikawa joined the group in 1990 and worked in a number of senior roles in the high-performance fibres business unit before becoming the general manager of its composites business unit in 2020 and president of its materials business in April 2021.
